Job Description

TheCredit Operations Specialistmanages the Credit Back Office (CBO) teams for our internal credit team members and our 3rd party vendor for CBO and collections and management of a zone within the Architectural organization. You will provide creative solutions to limit the risk along with proactive collections and problem-solving techniques. This requires frequent communication and coordination with both internal and external team members and an understanding of KPIs, Metrics, and daily activities. Weekly and monthly reporting will be provided to management to align. You will report to the Director of Credit, Americas and will be based in Cranberry, PA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the PPG CBO and 3rd Party CBO and Collectors.
  • Establish and maintain consistent usage of policy and procedures for all internal and external team members.
  • Effectively analyze multiple types of financial information to reach sound credit decisions.
  • Effectively communicate and work with customers and all levels of business management.
  • Manage training, changes related to new ERP implementations for team members and 3rd party invoicing /requisitions.
  • Analyze best practices and implement into CBO/Collector teams.
  • Lead meetings with PPG credit management and vendor on a quarterly basis.
  • Assess SBU portfolio credit risk and development of credit and collection strategies to minimize risk while balancing commercial needs
  • Assess bad debt risk as part of the SBU analysis of the Allowance for Doubtful Accounts
  • Manage and develop a specific zone and the credit team responsible for daily credit analysis and collections.
  • Oversee ePro, Eaccount questions, Card Point Issues, granting access to new account setup (excluding SAP), and effectively manage the West Zone.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, or relevant major; OR Associates degree with at least 5 years customer service or credit experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
