In an exciting and challenging fast-paced environment, the Millwright repairs hydraulic equipment, welds, performs crane maintenance and repairs and installs plant equipment.

What You'll Do:

  • Must be able to read and understand drawings and schematics.
  • Has working knowledge of various types of gear reductions and motor/reducer coupling alignments.
  • Must have knowledge and ability to repair hydraulic equipment.
  • Has knowledge to perform the following welding procedures: mig, tig, stick (including stainless) and gas welding.
  • Operates mobile equipment.
  • Performs crane maintenance and has knowledge of the proper safe rigging methods.
  • Able to work at heights.
  • Abides by all policies and procedures established by the Company including plant safety regulations and work rules.
  • Must have ability and desire to work with others.
  • Meets attendance requirements.
  • Performs other duties as deemed necessary.

What You'll Need:

  • Commitment to safety
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent G.E.D..
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in mechanical maintenance in a heavy industrial facility preferred.
  • Previous maintenance experience in a steelmaking environment preferred.
  • Ability to pass a written skills-based test, as well as blueprint test, hydraulic test, and welding test.
  • Valid and active driver's license.
  • Strong work ethic
  • Willingness to learn
