Position Description

The Registered Nurse will assist psychiatrists in all clinically related administrative responsibilities and in the development and maintenance of procedures. Acts as a liaison with staff/programs of Merakey and external support providers. Assures necessary flow of medical and psychiatric information from psychiatrists to other medical providers, residential support programs, and other support services.Provide medication education to clientsadminister injections to consumers and medication management.

Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Teams are composed of professionals including psychiatrists, nurses, mental health professionals, substance abuse professionals, employment specialists, housing specialists, and a peer specialist, all of whom collaborate to provide complete services including therapy, medication management, and resource linkage to adult individuals with serious mental illness (SMI). Services are provided in the individual's home or the community and include at least three home visits a week. Will be required to utilize personal vehicles for client transportation and community-based work.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Active PA RN license
• 2 years of experience working with individuals with mental illness
• Valid PA driver's license
• Knowledge and understanding of recovery principles
• Strong organizational skills
