Job Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Manager, Retirement Programs is responsible for the administration and compliance of all Jefferson defined contribution and defined benefit retirement plans. This position is also responsible for oversight of related retirement plan vendor activity, supervision and directing staff work, and communications with plan participants.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for the administration of the Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit Pension Plans. Ensures that the data is appropriately maintained for accuracy and compliance. Responsible for the timely submission of funds to investment firms and/or plan trustees. Ensures appropriate reporting and disclosure requirements under ERISA are followed.
  • Ensures PeopleSoft programming and automated reporting is modified on a timely basis to accommodate plan design changes, additions and inclusions of new entities.
  • Oversees biweekly payroll reconcilement to ensure funds are remitted to Defined Contribution Record keeper in accurate and timely manner.
  • Serves as liaison to Defined Benefit Plan Administrator and Defined Contribution Plan Record keeper to ensure that plan administration is proceeding appropriately; conducts quarterly stewardship meetings to ensure same.
  • Organizes and reviews information for all Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution Retirement plan audits, IRS filings and PBGC premium payments.
  • Serves as liaison to vendors and consultants supporting the administration of the Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit Pension Plans and ensures timely and accurate payment of invoices and fees.
  • Interacts with plan participants, co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Jefferson.

Experience with Excel, Word required. PeopleSoft experience highly preferred.
