About The Opportunity

This visible position is responsible for effectively and efficiently diagnose, troubleshoot and repair production equipment and performing preventive maintenance following Menasha Packaging standards for quality and safety.

Essential Job Functions

The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties however; it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Repair and troubleshoot production equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Assist in the set-up and tear down of production lines
  • Promote a safe work environment
  • Inside and outside building maintenance
  • Willing to work overtime and/or weekends as requested by Maintenance Supervisor/Manager
  • Responsible for following and complying with Company GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices) and maintaining quality work and product

Education & Experience

  • High School Degree or Equivalent and/or three or more years of experience in Maintenance
  • Electrical, mechanical and hydraulics knowledge required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize workload
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including listening
  • Attributes desired include being self-motivated, assertive, self-starter, problem-solver and results driven

Machines, Tools, Instruments, Equipment and Materials Used:

  • PLC and Drive Controllers
  • Equipment skills desired: knowledge of shrink wrap equipment, balers, heat tunnels, printers, glue machines, conveyors, carton sealer, stretch wrappers

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Must be able to stand, bend, walk, and carry items weighing 50+ lbs. regularly
