Job Description

The BCCE Program Coordinator is accountable for providing management and operational assistance to the BCCE Directors on all organizational aspects and projects related to the research-supporting activities of the BCCE. This position provides support for the BCCE while reducing barriers and driving communication and process improvement efforts between the BCCE and the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center (SKCC) at Jefferson Health and associated departments. Responsibilities include developing strategies to enhance BCCE-led research activities across Jefferson (including advanced care hubs), scheduling, preparing and running meetings, detailed documentation practices, and working with various entities across the system (i.e., RACE, ORA, SKCC CRO), assisting with the recruitment of additional BCCE faculty and personnel, and providing administrative oversight for all BCCE-led activities.

  • Supports the BCCE Directors on all tasks of the BCCE
  • Keeps track of BCCE metrics and membership
  • Supports and aligns BCCE with the SKCC
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement and works towards their implementation
  • Interacts with the research personnel in the laboratories of BCCE faculty
  • Is responsible for project management and creates project and task plans
  • Supports alignment and monitoring of BCCE operations
  • Works with investigators (clinicians/researchers) to assist in preparing grant proposals
  • Gathers and interprets data to support BCCE research progress reports
  • Oversees processes to remain in compliance with SKCC and departmental operations
  • Uses business knowledge to anticipate business questions and needs and proactively identifies and implements solutions
  • Works with various stakeholder groups to gather input and drive strategy
EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor#39;s Degree requiredEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Minimum of 5 years related professional work experience in a healthcare setting required and project management background.
