Job Description

Reporting to JHN INR Nurse Manager who oversees the operations of the department along with a Lead Technologist who maintains workflow competency of the Technologists on staff. This position is responsible for producing radiographs during the conduct of specialized neuro interventional radiology diagnostic amp; therapeutic procedures. Incumbents work together as a team consisting of physicians, nursing personnel and technologists working in concert to perform such specialized radiographic examination such as cerebral angiograms, endovascular treatment of cerebral aneurysms, carotid stents and other procedures. Technologists take on roles to scrub assist the physician, circulate and film cases. We are a Comprehensive Stroke Center which evaluates and treats stroke patients by way of Mechanical Thrombectomy. During the procedures in Neuro Interventional Radiology these positions receive their direction from the physician in charge. Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate manager.

40 hour/week Day Shift position with OnCall requirement.

Education: Satisfactory completion of formal x-ray technology training program as specified by the American Registryof Radiologic Technologists. One year additional training in interventional radiology in a hospital setting preferred.

Experience:Minimum of three years as an x-ray technologist and two years as an interventional radiographer in a hospital environment preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration Requirements:American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)

The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
