Summary of Objective:

Our company is looking for a Reliability Engineer to help us oversee certain aspects of our operations. The main functions of the Reliability Engineer are focused around seven key activities of the plant:

  • Planning preventive maintenance (PM) activities for process and plant equipment
  • Planning corrective maintenance (CM) activities for process and plant equipment
  • Modification and updating of preventative maintenance procedures for production equipment
  • Maintain the tracking of PM & CM activities in the electronic system.
  • Training of the on-site mechanical staff.
  • Manage the inventory & cost of spare parts.
  • Support continuous improvement activities

The successful Reliability Engineering candidate must be able to drive the business to 100% preventative maintenance compliance while efficiently organizing and continually improving maintenance procedures within a centralized maintenance system. The Reliability Engineer should be able to evaluate existing systems and processes and recommend improvements, upgrades, and replacements with limited supervision

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following but other duties may be assigned. The Reliability Engineer will perform the following activities under limited supervision.

  • Scheduling Preventive Maintenance work with Production Scheduler.
  • Create work orders, assign parts, close work orders, creating new assets and schedule in CMMS System. Includes maintaining the data integrity in the CMMS system
  • Audit the PM program compliance and schedule adherence.
  • Audit the PM task execution with recommended instruction in regulated PM forms.
  • Coordinate and issue corrective maintenance work to maintenance team.
  • Working with Central Parts to ensure all replacement parts are available.
  • Ensuring Preventive Maintenance work is done properly and timely.
  • Ensuring PM documentation is done correctly and timely.
  • Recommending changes and updating PM program tasks and frequency as needed.
  • Updating/creating PM Forms and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required.
  • Responding to all downtime caused by equipment breakdowns.
  • Analyzing the root cause and implementing short- and long-term solutions.
  • Driving a goal of high 95% equipment reliability.
  • Driving projects to extend the lifetime of equipment.
  • Developing and maintaining maintenance metrics.
  • Providing necessary training for mechanics.
  • Ensuring the required spare parts are inventoried and available following an A,B,C methodology.
  • Participate in customer and regulatory body audits as required.
  • This position may require overtime and/or weekend work.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules.
  • Attendance to work is an essential function of this position Performs other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in electrical, mechanical engineering, or related field
  • 2+ years related experience
  • Basic Mathematical Skills
  • Advanced Computer Skills: Ability to perform the most complex computer tasks and operate various computer programs.
  • Full Professional Proficiency: Ability to speak, read, and write fluently and accurately on all levels pertinent to professional needs.
  • Very High Reasoning: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in math or diagram form and deal with several abstract/concrete variables.

Preferred:

  • Fully competent in the use of Blue Mountain RAM CMMS or other CMMS system.
  • Expertise with general industrial production equipment.
  • Experience with pharmaceutical packaging equipment such as Blister, Pouch, Bottle, and Bio machinery.
  • Knowledge in predictive analysis and predictive maintenance a plus.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written form).
  • Effective at leading project teams and interfacing with operations personnel.
  • Fully competent in the use of MS-Office - Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power Point.
  • Must possess and demonstrate motivational and leadership qualities.
  • Must possess excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Must be well organized along with being detail and multi-task oriented.
  • Knowledge and experience in cGMPs desirable.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and other improvement techniques a plus
