We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Drug and Alcohol Specialist. The position has responsibility for providing assist to participants in the community through engagement and housing supports using "Harm Reduction," "Motivational Interviewing," and "Housing First" models of service for individuals experiencing chronic homelessness and substance abuse disorders. Assist staff with the development of strategies for intervening with Participants with co-occurring disorders. Other responsibilities include the following:
* Provide support and instruction to participants in their recovery process by using harm reduction and motivational interviewing techniques. * Maintain and submit all required documentation, on a timely basis, including individual Participant files, rehabilitation plans, progress notes, discharge summaries and after care plans/supports, in accordance with agency standards and licensing regulations. * Maintain productivity standards by submitting service documents reflecting a minimum of billable service units per day. * Assess and document Participants' behaviors in relation to progress, growth and overall involvement in treatment. * Develop individual recovery/treatment plans with Participants and discuss with team; review Participant progress and needs during case consultations and interface with local community and area services providers/agencies to facilitate program cooperation and/or alternate resources to current plans. * Provide psycho educational information as appropriate to the Participants' needs. |
