We are currently seeking a Southeast Aviation Team Leader to join our Aviation & Design Team from either Atlanta, GA; Winter Springs, FL; Doral, FL; or to work remotely from home.

The Southeast Aviation Team Leader, a key role at CHA, leads the technical execution of projects within his/her discipline and provides expert consultation in one or more areas of the respective field of engineering. At CHA, our Southeast Aviation Team Leader plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates detailed phases of a project independently with other engineering disciplines and project management staff. This key role provides guidance, mentorship, and technical review of work completed by junior level staff. The Southeast Aviation Team Leader provides technical development of proposals and external presentations (i.e., clients, public, regulatory agency, etc.)

Additionally, this individual resolves highly complex technical issues, and continuously monitors the progress and performance on a project to ensure efficient production and uncover potential problems. This key role recognizes technical discrepancies in analytical results and makes appropriate corrections following standard procedures and recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of design.

REQUIREMENTS
    Bachelor's degree in Engineering required
  • Professional Engineer License (PE) required
  • Minimum of 10 years progressive engineering experience is required
  • Established client relationships, civil, aviation design experience required
  • Previous experience working in FL is a plus
  • Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline(s) with a proven ability to practically apply best practices
  • Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
  • Understands QA/QC procedures and understands basic business practices and laws related to engineering
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and effectively work in a collaborative environment; proven ability to lead a team
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
  • Proficiency with MS Office software required
  • Active role in a professional engineering society/organization preferred
  • Ability to travel (~30% of the time)
