We are currently seeking a Substation P&C Design Engineer to join our Electric Transmission Team and we welcome applicants interested in a fully remote or hybrid work schedule from our Reading, PA office.

CHA's experts have decades of experience planning, designing, and permitting electrical power delivery infrastructure, including overhead and underground transmission lines and substations. We've designed hundreds of transmission, distribution, and customer-owned substations and switching stations (15kV up to 300 MVA transmission stations). We've also designed mobile transformers and substations up to 25 MVA and 161kV.
The Substation P&C Design Engineer conducts the design development, implementation and technical analysis of projects associated with Substation P&C design based on client needs. This individual will be responsible for project deliverables including One-Line Diagrams, AC & DC Schematics, Panel Layouts, Wiring Diagrams, Cable Lists, Calculations, Studies, and Bills of Material. The right candidate should be able to recognize technical discrepancies in analytical results and make appropriate corrections when needed.
The Substation P&C Design Engineer may be required to complete field assignments on occasion. This is a client facing position and effective communication skills will be essential for success

Proficiency with engineering modeling software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation preferred.
