Responsibilities:
This role includes designing and implementing strategies to help resolve complex, real world analytical problems such as material failures, reverse engineering of existing pharmaceutical formulations, and general quantitative analysis under aggressive timelines. The Senior Analytical Associate will be expected to contribute both individually and collaboratively within a team of scientists to help identify the most efficient strategies to meet the department's objectives. This role is ideal for a candidate with a natural drive for continued learning and growth within the pharmaceutical industry.
Performing Analysis and Reporting Results:
In this role, you will design and execute and testing of raw materials, in-process intermediates, and drug products. The ideal candidate will be adept at discussing analytical data and will also be able to communicate their findings in simple terms to a diverse audience. This includes helping other team members with data interpretation as well as discussing results with clients.
Specific Duties:
*Support manufacturing and release timelines by analytical testing of drug products using HPLC, dissolution bath, particle size analysis, and other instrumentation as required
*Interpretation of analytical data with a high level of proficiency
*Quantitate chemical compounds using HPLC
*Working with a team of scientists to design and implement analytical strategies
*Perform or oversee complex analytical campaigns under aggressive timelines
*Succinctly discuss results internally within your project team and externally with clients
*Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
*A bachelor's degree in chemistry or related scientific discipline, graduate degree preferred.
*3+ years in current industry experience in chromatography
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must
*Proficiency with computer office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, and miscellaneous scientific software)
*Ability to generate and maintain an orderly laboratory notebook in detail for permanent company record
*Experience with Agilent instruments and associated software is preferred but nor required.
