Job Description
Job Title: Diesel Truck Mechanic Location: Mid-Atlantic Division Job Type: Full-Time Travel: 0% Salary: Hourly Rate, Health & Fringe benefits per Collective Bargaining Agreement Duties/Responsibilities/Physical Requirements:

Responsible for repairs and required preventative maintenance of Class tractors

Perform safety inspections on tractors making sure that documentation required by the FMCSA, DOT, Federal, State and local regulations are met

Ability to read and write description of mechanical problems and repairs

Hands-on experience and knowledge of mechanics

Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematic diagrams

Test repaired equipment for proper performance

Welding experience a plus

Perform all work in accordance with Brandenburg's environmental and safety policies

Essential Job Functions:

Ability to perform safety sensitive tasks

Regular and predictable performance

Ability to work productively in personal protective equipment throughout work shift in all weather conditions

Agility to access and repair components on heavy equipment

Agility to climb onto, into and out of equipment using ladder

Education / Experience: Candidate should have a HS Diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years of diesel mechanic experience Job Specific Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or the ability to obtain

Ability to pass a DOT Physical

Candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to collaborate and the flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment
