Job Description: Directs and manages the care of designated patients. Utilizes effective and appropriate communication styles.
About the Inpatient Regional Heart Center:36 Bed, Progressive floor, that specializes in patients that require low-level monitoring. This unit has a nurse to patient ratio of 1:4-5
Minimum Requirements:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Successful completion of LVHN Progressive Cardiac Education Program within 6 months of hire or transfer, or previous Progressive Cardiac Nursing experience. Successful completion of Cardiac Arrythmia Interpretation Course, or passing score of the Challenge Exam for Cardiac Arrythmia before completion of orientation. Successful (passing score) and basic proficiency in Medication Administration Examination within 6 weeks of hire.
Preferred Qualifications: One year of recent progressive cardiac care experience preferred. BSN preferred. Professional Nursing Certification in Clinical Practice Specialty.
External Applicants: BSN is required 4 years from start of employment.
Licensure and Certifications: Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse licensure. Current BLS Health Care Provider. ACLS within 9 months of hire.
