Simpson is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dynamic and seasoned leadership team. Duties and Responsibilities: The LPN will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to residents in an assisted living or personal care setting. The LPN will work under the supervision of the AL/PC Administrator and will be responsible for administering medications, monitoring vital signs, providing wound care, and ensuring the safety and comfort of residents.
Essential Duties
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician. In accordance with Simpson’s medication administration policy.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rate.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide wound care, including cleaning and dressing wounds.
- Monitor and document changes in residents' health status and report any concerns to the AL/PC Administrator.
- Provide in-dwelling catheter care occasionally when needed.
- Provide wound-care occasionally when needed.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, as needed.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning of residents.
- Document all care provided and maintain accurate resident records.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures related to resident care and safety.
- Assist in creating, updating and maintain resident care plans as necessary
- Participate in continuing education and training to maintain licensure and stay current with nursing practices through Relias on-line training as required under PA Regulations on an annual basis
