Overview: The Export and Trade Compliance group provides guidance and licensing to ensure compliance with U.S. export regulations, including ITAR, EAR, FTR, and OFACR. It's a lot more than just international shipping --- and provides an opportunity to work with multiple functions within the organization, including HR, Supply Chain, Engineering, Logistics, and Security, using both technical and communication skills.

Job responsibilities: The successful candidate will help develop, implement, and document a new process related to export classification and recordkeeping using the company's newly consolidated ERP/MRP system; support the development of a new webpage for the export compliance group; and write paragraphs for newsletters and bulletins sent via email to help educate employees.

Job qualifications, required:

  • 2-3 years of college studies in science and/or engineering (classification),
  • Excellent written communication skills (writing procedures, bulletins and newsletters),
  • Excellent reading comprehension (interpreting regulations), and
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Sharepoint, and/or varied database applications (learning new application like Descartes VC, OCR, Sharepoint, Costpoint).

Job qualifications, nice to have:

  • Leadership experience in school or extracurricular activities
  • Experience in undergraduate research or other activities where you learn from working as a group, rather than in standard lecture format

Level of Clearance Must be able to Obtain:

DoD Secret
