CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Roadway Inspector to join our Construction Inspection Team based in Miami, FL.

This role will work primarily at client sites for a variety of FDOT, Miami-Dade County and Miami Beach projects. Travel will be required.

YOUR IMPACT

CHA provides a full complement of construction administration and inspection services to monitor, record and deliver projects. Our team includes seasoned certified construction professionals cross-trained in design, project and risk management, and health and safety compliance. The Roadway Inspector is responsible for observing and documenting the construction of highways, streets, and other roadways. This individual will provide services during all phases of construction from milling and resurfacing through the paving process and beyond. The Roadway Inspector will need to have excellent attention to detail and communication skills as they will be responsible for inspection documentation and reporting field issues, as well as preparing daily summary reports, and general monitoring of sites for other potential problems. REQUIREMENTS
    High School Diploma required; Associate's degree in Engineering Science, Construction Management, or related technical field preferred
  • Valid US driver's license required
  • Asphalt Paving Level 1 CTQP Certification
  • Earthwork Level 1 CTQP Certification
  • Minimum two years' experience in roadway construction or roadway construction observation experience required
  • FDOT experience is a plus
  • Ability to comprehend construction plans and specifications
  • Understanding of company standards, demonstrates knowledge of construction techniques, and assists mid to senior level team members with complex projects
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong mathematics skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • In-state travel is required
