2023 Summer Internship - Offshore Development

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

We are innovators at heart - we design, build, and operate sustainable energy solutions at scale around the world to create a cleaner energy future. We take pride in a company culture that encourages personal and professional growth, and in a workplace where our people feel a sense of ownership and belonging. As an intern at Invenergy, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Expand your knowledge and skills while gaining hands-on professional experience
  • Engage with leaders throughout the organization and learn about the clean energy industry through weekly lunch-and-learns.
  • Visit our nearby power plants: Grand Ridge Energy Center and Nelson Energy Center
  • Have lunch with our CEO and Founder, Michael Polsky
  • Explore Chicago with your fellow interns

Offshore Development: Our Offshore Development team takes charge on identifying new offshore wind project opportunities and advancing them through the development process. The Business Development and Commercial teams within Offshore Development are integral in identifying, developing, and commercializing new project opportunities. This includes all stages of the development of an offshore wind power plant including liaising with and coordinating the efforts of the engineering, procurement, transmission, government and regulatory affairs, origination, finance, and strategy teams. As an intern in Offshore Development, you will join a team hungry to build on its incredible success as the first U.S. developer to be awarded an offshore wind lease in the U.S. and looking to grow its project pipeline both in the U.S. and internationally.
