CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a MEP Project Manager to join our MEP and Security Team in Albany, NY; Brooklyn, NY; Syracuse, NY; or Parsippany, NJ. We will consider a remote option for a candidate who lives within 2 hours of Albany, NY.

Our team consists of industry leaders who have valuable hands-on experience as plant managers and engineers in industrial settings. We offer complete mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) engineering and design/construction services for companies throughout the manufacturing sector as well as a variety of public, private, and institutional clients. Our professionals will perform a thorough analysis of your systems and utilize proven methods to optimize performance.

At CHA, the MEP Project Manager works diligently to complete projects within the scope, budget, and schedule. This key role is responsible for managing the overall client relationship including any technical, financial, or logistical issues that may arise. Our MEP Project Managers are skilled collaborators who are experts at problem solving and adapting and staying calm under pressure.

Additionally, this position also coordinates contracts with the clients and subcontractors, manages purchase orders, and oversees all other project related documents. They are responsible for all project financials and subcontractor payments, clearly communicates updates to the client, management, and project team, and attends monthly project review meetings with operations.

The MEP Project Manager develops project specific health and safety plan in coordination with health and safety manager and is responsible for verifying that projects meet required QA/QC compliance as determined by Quality Management Plan.

REQUIREMENTS
    Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, Construction Management or a related degree is required
  • PE or equivalent professional license preferred
  • PMP certification preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience required; a minimum of 2 years of Project Management experience required
  • Building Design experience preferred
  • Proven ability to manage scope, budget, and schedule of technical tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of Deltek Vision or other cost management/PM software preferred
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task effectively
  • A self-starter who excels in a high-paced work environment and work well independently
  • Ability to travel
