Responsibility connects us, empowers us, binds us to our community, and challenges us to do what is right. Clean water, safe roads, efficient energy, resilient power sources, and buildings that enhance their surroundings - these are significant responsibilities we take to heart.
At CHA, we believe in responsibly improving the world we live in, and we ask our team to aspire to that ideal every day. At the foundation of our responsibility is our commitment to inclusion and diversity and choosing to treat everyone with dignity and equality. We also take accountability for making decisions that promote sustainability in our business and our designs. We are on a mission to reduce our environmental footprint and bring greener solutions to our clients. We believe it is our responsibility and work to do that each and every day.
We are currently seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our Water/Wastewater team from Columbus, OH; Indianapolis, IN; or Evansville, IN.
CHA believes our employees should have the time and flexibility to balance work and personal commitments. We offer most employees the option of a hybrid schedule with a work week that includes both office and work from home days.
CHA has developed thousands of water-related projects, each taking into account our clients' unique environmental, water quality, permitability, and funding concerns. Our water and wastewater management offerings include full engineering and support services for industrial and municipal wastewater treatment systems from initial planning through permitting, design, bidding, construction administration, start-up, certification, and ongoing operational assistance.
The Water/Wastewater Engineer conducts the design development, implementation, and technical analysis of various systems in order to implement new products, change an existing scheme, and to suit individual client needs. At CHA, our Water/Wastewater Engineer works on multiple projects in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet client, contractual and company requirements.
This role is responsible for monitoring progress and performance against the project plan and acts immediately to resolve operational problems and minimize delays, as well as recognizes technical discrepancies in analytical results, and makes appropriate corrections. They are also expected to identify, develop, and gather technical resources necessary to complete assignment (and field assignments when appropriate).
