We are currently seeking a Site Civil Project Manager to join our Land Development Team from Parsippany NJ or Brooklyn, NY. We welcome applicants seeking a flexible hybrid work environment allowing for both time at home and in the office.

YOUR IMPACT

CHA's Land Development Site Civil team facilitates cooperation among the developer, public and regulatory agencies, local review boards, and the community. We give careful consideration to impacts on traffic, stormwater drainage, water and sanitary services, and the environment. CHA has completed numerous public sector projects for agencies such as the Port Authority of NY and NJ, NYS Department of Transportation and other Public Agencies. CHA has also completed many private sector projects for leading retail clients, dozens of national restaurant and hospitality clients and a myriad of apartment complexes, entertainment venues, pharmacies, convenience stores and other private development projects.

The Site Civil Project Manager serves in a dual role, managing new and existing client relationships and providing high quality preliminary engineering and final design services for single and multi-discipline projects or studies ranging from routine to complex. The Site Civil Project Manager coordinates the design services and ensures that projects or studies are delivered in accordance with CHA's quality assurance/quality control and project delivery guidelines while ensuring that Client expectations and needs are met. Duties will include cultivating and maintaining client relationships, and handling project proposals, schedules, documentation and financials, all to help ensure projects are completed within the scope, budget, and on schedule. The ideal candidate for this Site Civil Project Manager role will be able to prioritize multiple assignments, an independent thinker, and a collaborator with technical experience in civil infrastructure including design standards/guidelines (e.g. AASHTO) and local and state regulations.

REQUIREMENTS
    Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering college or university is required
  • PE license required
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience required in design of site civil infrastructure; a minimum of 3 years of project management experience required.
  • Working knowledge of guidelines/standards (e.g., AASHTO) and local and state regulations.
  • Advanced proficiency with Civil 3D software application.
  • Demonstrated experience in problem solving, decision making, negotiations and conflict resolution skills to effectively reach sound conclusions and recommendations.
  • Proficiency in preparing contract documents; drawings and technical specifications.
  • Ability and desire to lead and mentor more junior staff
  • Occasional travel may be required.
