In this role you will be responsible for: The LPN will function as a member of the health-care team by exercising sound nursing judgment based on preparation, knowledge, experience in nursing and competency in accordance with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Code for Practical Nurses. . The LPN participates in the planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care using focused assessment under the guidance of the physician.. The LPN is responsible for direct patient care and assisting other clinical staff with direct patient care in a professional manner according to established policies, procedures and standards of care. . Assess patients over the telephone to determine the most appropriate course of action. The incumbent must function with a qualified physician and utilize the physicians direction within the framework of all approved medical protocols as directed.. Work with physicians, Practice Manager, and other staff members to promote a harmonious work environment.. Ensure that all contacts with patients, the public, families, insurance companies, employers, attorneys, physicians, and coworkers are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner.. Answer telephone in a prompt and polite manner. Display concern and provide assistance as appropriate to callers or in face-to-face situations. .
