Job DescriptionThis individual will support production and engineering development by designing, building, testing and deploying effective automated test equipment hardware/software solutions for application specific integrated circuits that are designed primarily for use in residential and commercial smoke and carbon monoxide detection systems.
Responsibilities
- Participate and contribute in cross functional team to support new product introductions.
- Collaborate with engineering and production to define test system requirements and supporting infrastructures
- Develop, debug, release automated test system hardware and software for both engineering and production use.
- Support sustaining of existing automated test system hardware and software.
- Analyze and create characterization reports, ie: histograms and distributions of parametric data
- Maintain accurate project records
Job Requirements Requirements:
- Associate degree in electronic technology, electrical engineering technology or computer science
- 1-2 years' C++ programming experience in Windows Environment
- 1-2 years' experience with benchtop test equipment: Environmental chambers, power supplies, oscilloscopes, current sources, DVMs, frequency counters, semiconductor parameter analyzers, etc.
- Knowledge of analog and digital electronics theory
- Self-driven to lead and complete projects within established commitment times
- Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate interaction with cross functional teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronic engineering technology or computer science
- 2+ years' C++ programming experience in Windows Environment
- 2+ years' experience testing and troubleshooting electronics circuitry
- 2+ years' experience with Automated Test Equipment (Teradyne ETS-xxx)
- Familiarity with schematic capture CAD software
- Familiarity with Underwriters Laboratory compliance standards
