Systems & Warehouse Manager
Manages the day-to-day operations of the warehouse. Develops and implements warehouse policies and procedures. Supports the organization's supply chain strategy. Plans, directs, and monitors all activities in the warehouse.
Essential Functions
- Oversees activities of warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory, training and safety.
- Maintains inventory accuracies of 98% or above.
- Manages hours for cost per case.
- Generates monthly resin forecast.
- Oversees shipping and receiving discrepancies, RMA's.
- Manages vendor relationships and activities.
- Coordinates dock equipment, LGV/E80 repair and maintenance.
- Schedule staff based on volume.
- Trains of forklift drivers, administers road tests and certification.
- Establishes operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
- Inspects physical condition of warehouse and equipment.
- Prepares work orders for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment.
- Confers with department heads to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as production, sales, records control and purchasing.
- Directs salvage of damaged or unused material.
- Performs month end inventory and cycle counts to ensure physical inventories reconcile with books.
- Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve warehouse methods, equipment performance, food safety and quality of product.
- Ensures maintenance of clean, orderly and safe warehouse.
- Participates in planning personnel safety and plant protection activities.
- Builds a positive work environment.
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Responsible for forklift certification training and training records
