Job Summary: Installs, maintains, and repairs various aspects of interior and exterior locations as well as direct and non-direct patient care equipment. This equipment includes but is not limited to powered equipment such as beds, wheelchairs and litters, sterilizers, patient lifts, medication carts and other electro-mechanical equipment. Knowlwdge of pneumatics and hydraulics is required. Performs routine and emergency maintenance and repair tasks as directed by Engineering and requested by other departments. Trouble shoots and repairs various issues with beds, litters, wheelchairs, and other rolling stock. Will be required to work outside specific trade as needed.
Minimum Requirements: High school diploma with additional vocational/trade school certificate in electronics circuitry, wiring diagrams, schematics and operations of mechanical systems. Proficient in English
3 to 5 years experience in electro/mechanical repairs in a health care environment.
Preferred Qualifications: 5 to 7 years experience in electro/mechanical repairs in a health care environment.
Licensure and Certifications: A trade specific license by a local municipality is preferred.
