Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the fl.2 General Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
* Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
* Greet all guests to Habitat in a friendly and efficient manner
* Provide an escort to the table, engaged in pointing out features of the restaurant
* Creates and maintains a sense of excitement at the entrance including name recognition
* Balances the reservation system (Open table), accurately accounting for covers
* Assists with phone enquiries and reservation requests
* Keeps a firm handle on the restaurant knowing the status of tables and flow of patrons
* Takes ownership of the restaurant and the service flow
* Maintains stock of menus appropriate to service period
* Assists with requisitioning
* Provides service within Fairmont and Hotel Standards
* Aware of all business within hotel on a daily basis and able to guide guests accordingly
* Follows opening and closing procedures daily
* Assists Restaurant Managers as assigned
* Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
* Previous experience is an asset
* Experience in Food and Beverage preferably at a luxury property an asset
* Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong guest service orientation
* Able to balance a variety of conflicting priorities while providing guest service
* Frequent lifting and carrying up to 25 lb
* Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
* Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
* Constant standing and walking throughout shift
* Ability to stand and be mobile for up to 8 hours
* Ability to move quickly and efficiently
