ABOUT THE TEAM:

FIS is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Development team in Orlando, FL. This teams supports a variety of state-of-the-art desktop applications.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING?

In this role, you will code in a variation of languages and support a variety of desktop applications, as well as create custom workflows for our clients. In addition, you will:

  • Analyze, design, program, debug and modify software enhancements and/or new products
  • Interact with product managers and/or users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
  • Participate in software design meetings and analyse user needs to determine technical requirements.
  • Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
  • Write code, complete programming and perform testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies.
  • Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
  • Train and communicate with internal Client Training, Client Relationship and Sales teams on systems application.

WHAT YOU BRING:

The ideal candidate will have 5-7+ years of programming/software engineering experience. This is considered an Advanced professional role requiring a broad knowledge of the SDLC and thorough experience with .NET.

  • You have experience in a variety of languages to include: C#, HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, XML, ASP.NET and JSON.
  • You are very organized and detail-oriented
  • You are experienced in a Windows environment
  • You love analyzing issues and devising efficiencies to better the client experience
  • You are looking to join our team and build a long-term career with FIS

  • Financial technology industry experience
  • Knowledge of, or experience with, the Agile framework
