About the team:

FIS Transfer Agency offers business process outsourcing services to leading mutual fund clients in the US and abroad. We are a dynamic and growing team within the global FIS organization.

What you will be doing:

In this role your primary responsibilities are to answer incoming calls and process financial and non-financial transactions for shareholders, brokers, institutional clients, and other affiliated parties for the various funds serviced by FIS and to provide superior customer service to both internal and external clients.

  • Process financial and non-financial shareholder transactions.

  • Draft correspondence in response to shareholder inquiries.

  • Answer inbound calls from shareholders, financial advisors and internal FIS partners.

  • Ensure account verification procedures are followed.

  • Respond to account and procedural information requests including processing requirements, shareholder account balances, closing prices and portfolio performance.

  • Facilitate purchase, sale, and exchange of fund shares.

  • Make outbound follow-up calls to shareholders in response to issues which cannot be resolved point-of-call.

  • Maintain an understanding of the systems required to initiate shareholder transaction and maintenance requests.

  • Perform daily reconcilement of DDA and G/L accounts.

  • Maintain working knowledge of department policies and procedures.

  • Complete extensive ongoing training to maintain competency in financial markets and instruments.


Schedule:

Monday-Friday From 10:00am to 7:00pm

(Occasional overtime opportunities on weekends)



What you bring:

  • Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail handling financial transactions.

  • Strong customer focus.

  • Ability to effectively communicate complicated concepts both through written and verbal means.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work in Windows-based environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to handle short and long-term assignments outside of day-to-day functions.

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Added bonus if you have:

  • 1 to 2 years' Financial Services industry experience preferred

  • Experience in a call center and/or processing environment

  • Knowledge of the mutual fund industry
