CNC Machinist
Penn United Technologies, Inc. is now accepting applications for full-time experienced Machinists in our Components Manufacturing team. Our Machinists focus on safely setting up and operating manual and 5-axis CNC lathes and mills to manufacture components to our customers’ requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Prioritize, plan and prepare work. Analyze tasks and establish an appropriate sequence of operations
- Read blueprints and job orders for product specifications, number of parts to be machined, material specifications, machining stock, and due dates
- Check supplies to make sure there’s enough material to finish each job
- Set up and operate various manual and 5-axis CNC lathes and CNC mills
- Select correct tooling, speeds and feed rates for each operation according to requirements and knowledge of metal properties and abrasives
- Verify dimensions of ground work piece for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments, such as micrometers, comparators, calipers, dial indicators, gauge blocks and load test equipment
- Check machines for proper maintenance and preparation before starting each job
- Machine components to blueprint specifications and stock allowances
- Operate computer numerically controlled (CNC) equipment
- Must meet speed expectations to ensure productivity
