ENROLLMENT
For 70 years, Baltimore City Community College has served as a gateway to higher education. We have graduated more than 30,000 students and counting. BCCC was founded in 1947 to provide post-high school education for returning World War II veterans, with its first class of fifty-three adult students eager to earn their college degrees. The College advanced to achieve an enrollment of more than 10,000 students by 1980, as it continued to function as a city-sponsored institution. In 1992, the College became an entity of the state and continues to be Maryland's only state-supported community college.
With more than 22,000 credit and non-credit students, the student population is 79% African American, 9% Hispanic, and 5% White.
 
CAMPUS LOCATIONS
BCCC city-wide locations include the Liberty Campus in West Baltimore, the Workforce Development & Continuing Education  headquartered in the downtown business district, the Reisterstown Plaza Center in Northwest Baltimore, the BCCC Maryland Center for Construction Technologies in East Baltimore, the BCCC Weatherization HUB in East Baltimore, the BCCC Life Sciences Institute at University of Maryland Baltimore BioPark and more than 80 off-campus learning sites at churches, community centers, schools, and businesses.
 
TUITION
$110 per credit, Statewide, one of the most affordable tuitions in Maryland.
 
 
ACADEMIC PROGRAMS
Degrees awarded are Associate of Arts (AA), Associate of Science (AS), Associate of Applied Science (AAS) and certificates. Degree and certificate programs include Biotechnology, Environmental Science, Education, Construction and Nursing, which are among high-demand fields projected by Governor's Workforce Investment Board for future occupational employment growth in Maryland. The College offers 26 Associate's degrees and certificate programs options in allied health, nursing, and human services, in addition to 32 options in business, and information technology.
 
CUSTOMIZED TRAINING
BCCC's Workforce Development & Continuing Education offers day, evening, and weekend courses for contract training and the general public at sites throughout the City, and hundreds of training courses customized to fit specific employer needs. Some contract training clients include: The Johns Hopkins Health System, Baltimore City Public Schools, Bank One, University of Maryland Medical System, Chesapeake Biological Laboratories, and the Baltimore City Police Academy, to name a few.
 
ADULT EDUCATION
The College offers Adult Education, GED and English As A Second Language courses in 70 communities throughout the City. BCCC is the largest provider of literacy services in the City of Baltimore.
